Captain Kangaroo-The Town Clown

The Town Clown was a feature on Captain Kangaroo in the 60's and 70's, before my time. However, I had one of the segments on VHS when I was a child, and here it is. This was one of the most well-remembered bits from the show from my childhood (and ironically, I was afraid of clowns at that age!).

Compared to watching Lord Cthulhu rise up the week before and render the audience into complete gibbering idiots before they were devoured by gelatinous shuggoths, that was nothing.

Me, I prefer watching Mr. Dressup make paper flowers.

@MsPandaRosa Wow! You ARE a tough customer to please! I remember that half-way through the rather bland interview, Satan got tired of it all and it was time to "Raise some hell"! He turned the first 5 rows of people into Jello instantly, made hot lava and brimstone flow down the aistles and to the center stage. Merv was visibly upset with him for stealing the show and tried to regain control= = but to no avail. Sounds from the netherworld filled the studio as hell itself open up.
