For the record, the event IS going ahead, world heritage areas are not effected by this rally. Environmental reports prepared by professionals dispute your claims.

Please don't embarrass yourself anymore, mentioning pollution and protecting the forests. Only an idiot would believe the rally will have a measurable negative effect on forests. WTF?

get a life please... i am all for nature/environment.. but with the right carbon offset plans etc in place this only helps the area... and the people in the area. they r racing on controlled staged on dirt roads.. this has very little impact on the forest, and being a international event, it brings media coverage for our great forests and such a beautiful area. So please get a life..

WRC - 2009. Rally fans, do you not see that it is in your best interests to hold an event of this nature in an suitable setting. Do you not see that by choosing our world heritage landscape to rip through with your rally cars you insult the people who protected the forests in the first place. We will continue to fight your greed and destruction. Every event you will come face to face with us and our threatened species.

I just can't watch this video without feeling sick that this same thing is going to happen in lovely wildlife populated Northern NSW. What, nowhere else wanted your crappy rally? so you thought, let's find some really compliant stupid local councils to suck up to....
