This is a clip from my reading at "The Loudest Voice Reading Series" in Chinatown, Los Angeles. I read for 11 minutes, but rand out of video space after 8:34minutes, so you only get a fragment. Bryan Hurt put the thing together with Amaranth Borsuk. Both of them were readers there,a story and a series of poems, respectively. Jillian Burcar also read fiction and Andrew Allport performed original music. The event was success. My photos and video don't do it justice. And I wish I was able to capture the entire event or at least some other images or video clips there. It's a new series and you can check it out at theloudestvoice.blogspot.com .
All of the performers were students of the Phd in Creative Writing and English Lit Program at USC. Some of my work, specifically, can be found in "Voices of Resistance" an anthology of Muslim Women Writers on War, Faith, and Sexuality. You can find it on amazon.com for a good deal. A quick google search will get you more info on the other readers.
Thanks for watching. I know the video quality isn't so great, but this was from a digital camera, so please excuse that....and pplease be kind with your comments.

Thanks for the nice comments. Had my memory card held more space and my sound quality been improved, it might have been a more successful video. But, I'm glad my friend was able to film it for me and hope more "Loudest Voice" events get archived on YouTube!
