The Helix High School Marching Band plays "Purple Carnival", by Harry Alford in SCSBOA competition. The video is from a 16mm film converted to digital video. The performance is from the All Western Band Review in November, 1978.

  • great video. Mr. Kirk was my Avid teacher when I was in HS.. he gave me some of the best advice of my life when I tried out for the drum major position

  • Hi Gerry, I  think I remember the drum major that year being Bruce Kurl. Steve Fausset was 77-78.
