Your comparison between us and volcanoes is an odd one. Volcanoes aren't sentient and so therefore can't think 'hold on, we're destroying the planet on which we live. Does no-one else think that's a bit silly?'. Whereas we can. And some of us are. And I don't think it's all that childish (unlike my last comment).

Samiloff, you're a genious. I had never thought about *thinking* about things before. What would I have done without your words of wisdom. You, sir, have inspired me to start thinking. But can I think about things slightly more than sometimes please?
-
oh, and by the way, you come across as a smug, self-satisfied twat - not an attractive character trait!

Try reading the latest reports of the man-made causes of the thinning ice at both Nory and South Poles. The evidenc is in - and it's conclusive. I wish it were otherwise, but it ain't. So scepticism on this subject is no longer an option, I'm, afraid...

yeah right - sorry but you don't know what you are talking about, so best just keep schtum, if I were you, eh?

The problem here Motherlodeuk is that this climate change nonsense is a natural cycle of the earth and has been jumped on my politicians to tax the hell out of us to line their pockets.
Camping in a field waving signs about with a hand full of other logic deficient eco nerds will change nothing, you're seen as "ahh the annoying hippie lot are back again" nobody cares about you.
If you want to change the way energy is produced, get a job with an energy firm and find an alternative!

if only i saw this before going camp, where can you download the eff off eon logo because i lost my badge on the train today (very annoying)
lol i think you protesters are so childish, if the increase in climate is a man made issue then why is it that all the planets are getting hotter due to the sun having increased sunspots? also im sure you've got an answer for everything but if ONE volcano erupts then it does more damage to the environment then any man made pollution we have caused, just one, think how many eruptions there have been. maybe think about things sometimes.

What the climate scientists are concerned about is the additional CO2 added by human activity (half a trillion tonnes so far and counting) above and beyond natural cycles including seismic activity and sun spots.
I'm afraid it's you who have the childish attitude to what looks like turning into the biggest threat to mankind ever faced - it's one we've created ourselves, and one that only we can fix.
You're free to disagree, but the vast majority of of climate scientists say it's happening.

a little bit ironic that you have to use so much electricity to make that dont you think?
kingofweedswood 3 years ago
Yeah, I do. But I only resorted to electricity after trying to send it by smoke signal failed..

well call me old fashioned but i personally would have used paint on a piece of cardboard, but i guess that wouldn't have been "hip" or "trendy" enough for the likes of you, you talk the talk very well but a little bit off colour when it comes down to actually "saving the planet" hahahaha! hypocrite is probably not the right word but it is the first one that comes to mind.

Old fashioned, Luddite, petty, annoying... are the words that spring to my mind about your post, strangely enough. We live in an electrical age, that's not going to change - it's how we generate the power that's the issue. Get over yourself, it's your kind of self-righteousness which makes it harder get the climate change message across to the wider public.
