Tracy Worcester's film about factory pig farming, a system which abuses animals, pollutes the environment, damages human health and destroys rural livelihoods
There is a lot that's helpful here, but really we need to get to the economic issues and policy issues. John Ikerd's piece, "CAFOs vs Rural Communities" summarizes 59 studies on econ costs. The film misses that hard data. Europeans generally miss the policy aspects, as the US has been world export market price leader for feeds for CAFOs. See my blogs on Europe's CAP. Mostly, like here, people don't learn the policies. It takes more than changed eating patterns. Don't meanwhile give billions.
