  • that was beautiful!!! wonderful job with the swords, and i love your costume, it is beautiful without being too revealing

  • I know =) It's always good to hear from another dancer, especially if you're not telling me that I suck LOL Thanks again for the comments and conversation =)

    Happy Dancing!

  • sure, everyone is entitled. was just filling you in. i just told you what my teachers say i never claimed to be a professional. there's no videos of me dancing and i don't know if i'll ever post any. not like you're missing out on much. :P i mostly dance with a troupe not solos. and we respect each other's privacy. maybe one day i will but uni is weighing in over my head.

  • Most great teachers have connections. Mine does, too. As I've said before, my instructor, who is a highly respected and well known teacher and performer of nearly 40 years, never scolded any of us for touching the otther side of the sword blade. But, everyone is entitled to their own opinions =D

So, when are you going to post some videos of your dancing? =)

  • hehe. you're welcome! it doesn't take much skill to not touch the sharp edge. over here, my teachers have connections with lots of highly respected teachers and dancers from all over the world, including egypt. my teacher says she can't stand people who touch the blade, cos it's like they forget it even was a sword just some dance prop. many see it that way and take it as a sign between someone who knows what they're doing and someone who doesn't.

  • But mystery isn't always necessary. There are times when skill outweighs all. Thanks for the comment =)
