Footage from the legendary punk rock record store- Trash American Style- on their last days...PART TWO...
From "I Need That Record: The Death (or Possible Survival) of The Independent Record Store." Coming 2008...
Since everything went digital that was pretty much it for the independents. There are a few left like Joe Nardone's in Wilke-Barre PA but when you walk in you know the clock is ticking.

Jeez I feel a little guilty. Last time I was at Trash American Style Malcolm didn't have any grey and I didn't have any kids! Maybe pre2k. Sorry to see it go. All the independent stores I would go to we great places to learn what what good what was shit and sometimes, too often, how awful my tastes were as told by record snobs. Never by Malcolm. At least not while I was in the store. Hope all is well... Malcolm, Full Circle Records, Final Vinyl, Noise Annoys, Hi Kat! Phoenix, Metropolis, etc...

Oh dear, we're also dead-center of when Mark is making the last purchase Trash American Style will every have.
I have Max's hat.

Geez. Maxwell and I are in the first few seconds of this one.
Bah!
I miss Trash oh so very much. You did a stellar job with this documentation.
I'm just happy Malcolm still keeps contact with everyone and the crew continues their tent around other areas!
Thanks to Trash, I have (and continue to get!) a lot more things I couldn't find anywhere else, and I've gotten great(!) recipes from Malcolm through E-Mail! :)
