Shooting out a candle - Longbow oz - archery trick shot

Shooting out a flame with a short bear recurve bow.... No the 'wind' of the arrow doesn't put the flame out - you've got to hit the wick. I bet even Longbow oz would have trouble hitting it!

I have a similar bow, a 48" Bear Black Panther Hunter 45/50#. My draw length is 29.75". I compensate for this overdraw on such a relatively short bow by lowering the brace height to @ 7". I guess this still gets @ 45/50# draw without over drawing the bow for its dynamic stress limits. The arrow acceleration occurs over a slightly longer distance, smoothing the shock to the bow. I have been busting gray squirrels with it, and getting full pass through shots with Saunders SGH bludgeon heads.
