Today, I visit an ancient defensive fort first constructed by Henry VIII on the banks of the river Thames.
The location has a very interesting history and was used for the TV series, Sharpe.
MUSIC:
Stoneworld Battle, March of the Mind, and Classic Horror 2 by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com).

Will I touch base with the entities within it`s huge walls?

  • These forts are as important as any ancient monument but never get the attention they need.

I will be doing 4 of these forts on each weekend in may, the history is incredible.

  • Be careful. Check the management of these places first regarding camcorders. For reasons that defy logic, some ban the use of them!

Good luck though on your four visits.

  • Chris that made me jump too when you went upstairs and saw those mannequin's thinking those were real people-even paranormal investigators can get the creeps sometimes ;-O. Good job on the EVP's.

  • Thanks Belia:-)

  • thanks for getting back with me so fast on the question about finding who was there and the history of the names you pick up. I love your accent and the way you do your shows. there is a lot of history in England. I wold love to move to your country one day. keep on researching and finding interesting sites to visit and stories the ghost's want to tell us.

  • Thanks Barbara! I am very flattered by your kind comments:-)

You must come to England - we do have a lot of history to see and share!

  • I enjoyed the tour and your company, thank you. The evps are excellent. <3 :)~

  • Two nights ago, I slept in a former Nazi concentration camp. Admittedly I was in my camper van, parked next to the former SS canteen but I slept the same as I did anywhere.

I think in order to have paranormal experiences one must have certain type of sensitivity which I clearly lack!

  • Very interesting, thanks for sharing,

I used to play here when I was little, we would sneak in and loose ourself for hours in all the underground passages and nooks in the fort, loved it there, we even used to swim in the moat. Dont remember seeing any ghosts though :)

  • At 6:13, to me it sounds kind of like "I am bob", rather than "It's a man".

  • @Rocky1990 Yeah, um, dude. You really....I mean REALLY, need to stop believing every conspiracy theory you read on the internet or see visualized in a hollywood movie.

  • Some how I missed this vid when I was going through the list you have. It greatly surprised me when, after I listened to the 1st EVP, I got the image in my head of the mid/late 1800's, and then a few seconds later, you report that is the same feeling you got. I also got the feeling(1st impression) that the beating was done because the victim was homosexual. It could've been anything, of course, but that is what I felt from it.

  • It would be great if you could get permission to do an all-nighter at the old fort; good to see that they are looking after it & doing the old place up.

Thanks for the journey into history Chris, cheers.

  • listnen i live in tilbury, right near the fort and the only scary thing is a bunch of pis heds u might see on the way home

  • interesting video.....
