When nice people and great music come together it makes me so happy. And when I'm blessed enough to know nice people who make good music, it makes me want to support them. That is why I made this video- to support a wonderful artist in the Dayton, Ohio music community.
Local artist, DJ Ruckus Roboticus has put his remix magic on Vampire Weekend's "Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa" and turned it into a danceable dream!! I'm a fan of both RR and VW- this is a wonderful combo!
Disclaimer:
I'm not a real fan of cheesy little slideshows but I didn't have any live footage of Ruckus to make this with. As soon as I do have real video I will remake this vid ASAP.
I was anxious to make something that would give his remix an additional outlet to be heard.
Some pics were provided by Ruckus himself, other images I borrowed from the web.
Please visit his site to hear even MORE of this World Cafe' Next Artist and Spin Magazine featured work.
While you're there, order his latest release "Playing With Scratches" on Grease Records. (available on 33 1/2 vinyl LP and also as download from iTunes.)
