A ride from July 2011.
My brother Dan showed me some awesome roads, paths and trails in Santa Fe, and was kind enough to loan me his Marin hybrid.

  • I heartily recommend the D-7000. I shoot for a living as a photographer for the State of Arkansas, serving our Governor. (Much of it is very un-exciting.... People holding plaques, shaking hands etc.... But I have a slighty older more expensive camera -- But The Nikon D-300s that is now my backup camera. Reason, the D-7000 is that much better in low light.

  • @Kirkwood2020 Thanks very much for this advice! Still curious regarding the lens you use with the D-7000?

  • 27 minutes... Really. Hmm I like the ride but not sure I can hang out that long... but with this music I keep expecting somethign to jump out and scare the stars out of me.

  • @Kirkwood2020 Well there was the horse towards the end.... I know it is taking a big chance posting videos exceeding 3 minutes, however this is more like a family home movie - the ride was part of a family visit - clipping it down to 27 minutes out of about 90 minutes of footage was also a challenge. If you prefer a shock check out my Monkey Attack video (and/or the related trailer of 30 seconds!) By the way, I enjoyed your " Insane Cloud Tsunami rolls over ARkansas" vid - what camera is that?

  • @thomastimlen Taken with a Nikon D-7000 using an interval timer. But I so want to win a GoPro, or get one for Christmas.

  • @Kirkwood2020 Just checked out the D-7000 specs - it might just be my next SLR! Now I use a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS3 as it can survive rain & sweat in my back pocket when out cycling.or exploring the jungle, shooting the family in the pool, etc. What lens do you have on the D-7000?

  • @thomastimlen I have several howerver my "normal" lens is a 12-24 zoom. Really. second choice is either a 60mm macro, or a midrange zoom 18 -105. but I prefer the wide angle.
