All of us at Twin Orchard Farm are proud to have a new member of the herd. Hogies Cam, once called the "winninest horse in North America" by harness racing enthusiasts, has come to us to "retire" into a new vocation.
Of the track Standardbreds are among the most versatile breeds - from dressage, to western pleasure, to eventing and driving, they can do it all. Consider adopting a track retired Standardbred as your next horse if there's room in your barn and your heart for these special horses.

Wonderful for that lovely horse - could you try to do riding lessons with him to children with disabilities, maybe an hour every month?? My son who has ADHD and Aspergers gained so much by being involved with horses. He rode and learned to take care of them. It meant so much to him. He's in the Army now - Cavalry division of course! Thanks so much for the reply on the video of Hogie. He's such a great boy!
Twin Orchard isn't outfitted with enough insurance to do therapeutic riding although Hogie would be great at it. In fact, most of the Standardbreds I've met wuold do remarkably well in that field. They're very level headed, calm and seem to be able to adapt very readily.
Hogie has had a number of different riders on him and has accepted each one with care. I'm so happy for your son!
