We all look forward to being promoted. As a civilian that means more pay and maybe a private office or a coveted parking space. In the Military beeing promoted to the rank of Sergeant means not only more pay but sometimes having to make instant life or death decisions on the battlefield. That's why Sergeants Major come together to conduct an NCO (Non Commissioned Officer) induction ceremony. It recognizes the new NCO's accomplishment and sometimes heavy responsibility.
I shot this again with the Sony PD-170 video camera and used a mono pod so I could move around to get a variety of shots. I put a wireless lavalier microphone on the speakers podium and use the shotgun microphone for nat sound. This was a nighttime inside a white tent that was lit by a strip of fluorescent lights that ran from the back to the front. Since the primary source of power is 220 I had to put my camera on 100 shutter speed so the lights didn't "Flicker".
