The Dolce Group has done it again, bringing a new and very unique fine dining experience to the West Hollywood restaurant/nightlife scene. Already famous for its renowned hot spots like Dolce Enoteca e Ristorante, Bella Cucina Italiana, Geisha House and Les Deux the Dolce Group has provided Angelinos with a new classic fine dining restaurant with a funky twist.

Located on the ever-famous Sunset Boulevard within the Sunset Millennium complex, Ketchup shines on the left hand corner of the street with its bright neon red lights. Practically impossible to miss while driving down the busy streets of Sunset Boulevard, Ketchup brings an old fashioned diner experience to the 21st century.

Upon walking into the crystal clear doors, the hostess takes guests up a sleek elevator to the second floor where the rest of the restaurant lies. Designers Tony Schubert and Dax Miller created a modern design complete with shiny white floors and floor to ceiling windows, resembling a breathtaking lounge feel with a fantastic view of the strip. Diners sit either in plush oversized white leather booths that hold up to eight people or at the comfy two person tables, but close enough to socialize without having to yell over one another.

The tables are adorned with a juicy tomato in a glass box as opposed to the usual flowers or candles at most restaurants. The walls are decked out with stylish modern paintings, pictures and collages of classic ketchup bottles. Even the entrance to the ultra lounge is splashed with a painting of ketchup splattered on the glass doors. The large tomato-like red ball lights hang from the ceiling, finalizing the modern décor.

American Cuisine with a Funky Twist

As for the cuisine, Ketchup has taken American cuisine to the next level with its sophisticated spices and added touches to its traditional cooked at home by mom dishes. Mastered by executive chef Chris Tunnell, the menu is full of fun dishes with names like Scandalous Lobster Wraps and Shake N Bake. Appetizers on the Shared Credit list include Barking Dogs: four mini Kobe beef hot dogs smothered in classic chili and decorated with cheddar and swiss cheeses and also the mouth watering Kobe Burger Sliders on a fresh three cheese roll with cheddar cheese, bacon and homemade Ketchup.

Boasting not only classic American dishes with a twist, the dessert and drink menus bring anyone back to its childhood days. Featuring the American Classic with a homemade cream filled ding dong or the Ice Cream Sandwich with vanilla bean ice cream stuffed between two homemade Heath bar chocolate cookies. Even the popular Summer Lovin or 25th hour cocktails taste just like the fruit punch grandma makes with a splash of vodka. Overall, Ketchup restaurant is a fine dining experience that will soon be an American Classic. The geniuses at the Dolce Group have designed a rock inspired experience with traditional favorites, flawless service and such hip atmosphere it will no doubt be the newest Hollywood hang

  • That grand daddy burger is incredible looking!

  • This and the Geisha House commercial are such neat ideas on advertising restaurants. I love how you recommended the three meals to us, with the video and the audio (have gotten bored with pictures of food outside of restaurants)! Will definitely have to give Ketchup a try after seeing this. Yumm!

  • Funky twist on fine dining is right on. This is a great video, from the food to the actual detail of the restaurant!

  • The grand daddy burger is pretty much the tastiest thing i've ever seen. what a cool restaurant!
