Take a good look at Morning Mayan. She's a racist. She's friends with a nazi here on youtube named killacommieformommie. He has videos that are so hateful and so close-minded, he once likened our first lady to the female ape on Planet of the Apes. Manoftruth knows this.

Be careful who you are getting your advice from. Mot wants a global armageddon that kills billions of women and children so he doesn't have to pay child support. A pity there isn't a hell for these people to go to.

Sendin: Well, by nature I love to root for the underdog & always hold out for a 4th quarter win. So I hope & believe we can turn this Titanic around. That said, I also believe in preparing for worst case since I have kids to think of & I see no evidence of our leadership going in the right direction.

I don't think putting some savings into silver can hurt me right now.

The dollar is paper. It's as the older generation used to say, "a lick & a promise". At least silver is a tangible asset.

I couldn't agree more that facing reality isn't negative. I have a lot of friends who believe that preparing for bad times is being negative & not trusting God. I look at it the same way you do MOT, like a good coat for winter.

My analogy is a coming hurricane. People do not see a forecasted level 5 hurricane & do nothing & say it's negative to prepare. They board up their windows & store up supplies to ride out the storm.

Additionally, how can you help others if you yourself aren't prepared?

I am at lunch and have to get back to work but wanted to hit on something real quick. I am like you, not buying it to cash in I am buying it for security because I believe the dollar is going to collapse eventually. The unstableness of China, Japan, South Korea, England holding so much of our debt that it is scary and once they figure out holding our debt is not in their best interest one of them will dump it and the rest will rush for the exits. Hyperinflation, then collapse.

Sendkin: Jim Rogers also predicts a very SHORT term rally in the dollar, which would probably drive metals down a bit, but he stresses it is short term & after the dollar rally, it will plummet even farther & gold & sliver go up even more. I for one will continue to buy as much as I can.

I can't remember the exact number, but silver is no where near it's all time high right now. Gold has recently hit it's all time high. Jim Rogers predicts gold eventually hitting $2000 in the next 10 yrs or so

SendinK9: I'm no expert & have just started buying silver myself, but I would say it depends on what you are trying to accomplish. If you are trying to make a lot of money, who knows. I look at it like a savings account that is much safer than dollars.

I listen to several experts & have not heard anyone that believes silver is overvalued right now, in fact I have heard it is undervalued compared to gold. Jim Rogers says silver is the better deal compared to gold & is currently undervalued

Heath Care is passing and this will upset China even more and push them closer to dumping US dollars. I feel once it officially passes China, India etc will increase thier silver and gold purchases which will drive the price higher across the metals board.

Silver seems to be floating around 17.18 to 17.56 on average lately in fact even Gold has seemed at a holding point but some of the other metals have seen slight increases. Whats your take on this price stabilization. I continue to buy, just received another FedX in yesterday. Silver closed at 17.31 up .05 from Thursday, I contribute it to all the bogus news reports claiming the economy is in recovery and a few other things. .05 is a good gain but it has also met declines.
