A rare chance to mention Britain's only named wind, the Helm, in a forecast. Gusts of more than 90mph over Great Dun Fell in Cumbria were recorded today as northeasterly breezes picked up speed as they descended the hills.

  • My brother thought you said 'Hell Wind', this morning. Spent most of the day trying to find out what a Hell Wind was...ahhhhhh, Helm Wind. Right! ;)
