  • This was a research project done by one person inside of Sony 8 years prior to Microsoft Surface. No kidding Surface is more refined than this - but also consider Surface is a huge and heavy piece of furniture. This is elegant and portable.

  • The design of this system is intended to be portable. That way it can be easily used on any surface. It's not integrated with furniture or infrastructure. Occlusion is a problem though.

  • Wow - this is very advanced for 2001. Even now 9 years later - I wish I had something like this today as a 'home' for all the information we collect. Well done!

  • and this was made in 2001

  • the video often refers to the sytemj transfering data through the body ... this is not true the hand on the table is just a gesture which initiates the comunication of blue tooth data transfer.... think about it ...has your camera got a casing that allows data to transfer through your body? ...i know mine is just plastic

  • the Microsoft surface is a shit load better then this

  • woah that is really awesome, But the only problem is having projectors overhead, it would be better if the interface was combined with Microsoft Surface
