King of Fighters XIII Presents: The Technical Reference of Robert Garcia & Takuma Sakazaki

I know I've told y'all that I'm a huge fan of Robert. He's probably changed playstyles as many times as Athena has changed clothes. OK, maybe not that much but you get it. Robert is the same as a lot of characters coming from the growing pains of XII. You just have to EX first before you can get wicked. And even then the possibilites you have at your disposal are vast and many. I can see a couple of HD combos in my head even now. All us Robert players are gonna have so much fun just showing out.

If SNK was going for Unfuckwitable OG in a old karate movie then I think they've nailed it. Takuma looks nothing short of beastly. The man invented a damn fighting style so why wouldn't he be. I haven't paid this much attention to him since SVC Chaos in also which he was a beast. Takuma's playstyle leans more toward controlling momentum than landing hits. As long as he controls that he'll be fine. All you Takuma players have a lot to work with so you'd be wise to take advantage.

@amaj83 Actually, even Takuma's real name precedes Akuma (Takuma's "real" debut is in AOF2, which predates SSFIIT). In addition to that, the name "Akuma" was Capcom of USA's idea, and Akuma's Japanese name is Gouki. SNK's history is chock-full of these "not what it looks like" moments...

I think the KOF fighter that went through the most changes is Athena. Because every game, she changed her clothing. Robert is a close 2nd because of appearences based on the AOF games, like for example Robert AOF3 style in, I think, KOF 96 and 97, cool stuff.

BTW, Robert is a kick ass fighter! Ora Ikimase!
