They're perfectly done, without being over-the-top.

Just checked out the ad for the new Blu-ray discs, well EVERY trekkie can rejoice, it includes remastered versions of both the original untouched effects and the new effects version!!!!  You can switch between the two at any time during viewing!!!!!!

As someone who was there watching TV September 8th, 1966 I prefer "Trekker".
The remastered versions are amazing!!!

Trekker, bleah. Sounds so Janeway, makes me sick.

Oh well--maybe when you can claim over 43 years of "Trek" watching experience....we will listen!!!!

@mikefastener I've been watching trek since 1972, your few more years of watching really doesn't mean anything.
Trekkies are the real trek fans, trekkers are the sell outs. sorry. Go watch voyager and let the real fans comment on trek.

Sorry, my friend...obviously you have taken offense at my somewhat poor attempt at humour. It does however point out that you are not a true Star Trek fan (whatever you call yourself). ST especially ST:TOS created a culture of respect. With the "jabs" I see in your other postings---you just don't "get it"!

Sorry for being a little shot tempered, I take star trek a little to seriously. McCoy showed disrespect towards Spock on a number of occasions and was a speciesist when it came down to it. Preferring humans to vulcans. Even if throughout the years he became good friends with Spock. But honestly I thought it was you who were showing me disrespect.
