In the quest for better fuel economy, Ford is offering small turbocharged engines in the Ford Fusion and Ford Escape. And Chevy put a turbo engine in its Chevrolet Cruze. But Consumer Reports' tests find those small engines come up short. Find out how other vehicles perform with our Guide to Fuel Economy: http://bit.ly/QxSuoQ

Its to be expected using turbos as a Fuel Efficient alternative right now, in its early stages so results may be crap hopefully later on we'll see improvements.

Keep in mind that Consumer Reports fuel economy rating are practically worst case scenario numbers. I drive fairly aggressively and get way better mileage that CR rate my car at.

I would love to hear how someone can get 27 miles per gallon in the Chevy Cruze Eco.

I would say MINI is Germany's worst car. BMW, Merc, Audi and VW are all amazing vehicles. Don't smash it until you've driven one.

Mini is known to be one of-if not THE most unreliable vehicle in production today, just FYI.

Turbos need to be replaced sometime down the line. Oh with an American car? That won't be a very long time.

i own one with a hemi engine and at times it is so smooth you can not tell its running! my only complaint with the car is the over intrusive traction control system..... A predator tune took care of that and now it is perfect!! it actually gets better gas mileage running on all eight cylinders then with the mds activated!!!
