Annen-Polka Strauss Vienna Philharmonic Women´s Orchestra

It´s a nice piece of Viennese music performed by the Vienna Philharmonic Women´s Orchestra and conducted by Izabella Shareyko, one of the founders of the ensemble which brings female musicians from 11 countries and 4 continents together. They all have a special relation to Vienna, the famous city of "World-Music" in Europe, Austria.

They are very good! I support women musicians/composers. I really think it should be more even in general, in terms of the amount of men and women in music. We study like 278 male composers and like 5 female composers. I'm hoping that in the future, we can study about the great female composers (I'm sure there are some!) Keep playing and keep going!!

I'm from Missouri in the United States, and conductor Izabella Shareyko has really put together the best group of female musicians in Europe. They know how to play great Viennese music.

Well no I would have more emphasized the speed variations to better express fun and joy to me ;-) I also would have emphasized the volume variations too, putting more power in phases such as 0:38. To finish with, I find the ending a bit below the rest of the piece : I would have expected something less classical, more brilliant and explosive : we finish here with neutral face instead of large smile ;-))
