to all the posters that say this is why not to have real trees:
have you ever seen a mattress burn? or a can of paint? or a bottle of whiskey? most things are dangerous when exposed to open flame. im pretty sure thats what you should avoid having in your house.

I used to have an old aluminum christmas treet. They had another problem, they conducted electricity from tip to tip, so it wasn't a smart idea to put a string of electric lights on them. That's why you used a color wheel spotlight to give them some lighting action instead. They looked cool and futuristic though.

that is how i am getting rid of my christmas trees from now on. no more leaving them at the curb for the garbage men.
