Sunken Day (new Original)

This is the first posting of my new song "Sunken Day" -- which I hope will be on my next album. I dedicate it to everyone that has suffered from depression and send it out with hopes that they have seen the sun again.

Sunken Day

Oh, sunken day - you took somehow
our time away - so broken now

Moments we sought - were never found
Moments we fought - were dragging us down

You've had your way - unburden me.

I've paid all my debts - there's no more to give
I'm making no bets - so please won't you let me live

Just want to see the sun again
Just want to feel it on my face
Let it burn my eyes, and help me see beyond this place

I need to taste cool air again
Sting my lungs back into shape
Cut this anchor line, and leave behind these sunken days

Battered and frayed - I'm on my knees

I'll stand up and fight - and try to forgive
I'll shed this long night - so please won't you let me live

Just want to see the sun again

My dad has suffered with depression for about 5 years now, which really has taken a toll on our family so I really hope you are doing okay. Please keep uploading songs.
