@wonkythomas Eek, I just read this - Pied Currawongs have adapted well to living in urban areas and their growing numbers have been implicated in the fall in numbers of the smaller bird species.

@wonkythomas That old chestnut, I think we've got a similar problem here in Melbourne, plenty of hate for mynas here, I quite like them - they look like little raptors, although I understand they're big trouble for other species. On that note there does seem to be more parrot types hanging round the neighbourhood of late, and some currawongs too, which is great.

@WHOSAIDDAMAGE it is. . . an introduced species at almost plague proportions since the council chopped almost all the established native trees down, the Rainbow Lorikeets are _slowly_ making a come back, tho they find it hard to compete with the Mynas :(
