People look at couponers and say 'WEIRDOS!' When they see a shopper buying 20 toothpastes or 20 dish washer tabs they wonder why we would do such a thing. This video is here to explain not only WHY we do it, but why you should do it too.

Stockpiling is not about hoarding a specific product. It's not about the end of the world or prepping for a disaster (although a stockpile would help in that situation LOL), it's about basic financial sense! If you could buy something at 80% off retail today, why would you want to pay full price 2 months from now.

Here are a few links to some articles about stockpiling and how you can get started:

Detergent can be tricky to stockpile. Usually good sales with coupons come around every 3-4 months. Example, I just purchased 10 bottles of Wisk. There was a $2 coupon and it went on sale at multiple stores for $4 (each bottle was $2). At that price I can go wild and buy 20 bottles because that would be $40 out of pocket. But I don't want to let that price slide, because retail its $5-$6. So I stockpile what I can afford!

Nathan I understand stocking up on stuff your going to use, what gets me are the people who buy stuff they dont need or use, who buy stuff to just be buying suff. I saw a woman who bought over $900 worth of food for under $50 so her and her boyfriend could save $500 for a engagement ring, well excuse me but she didnt save anything, she just spent $50.

Hey Nathan! Today up here in canada I bought 10 boxes of 50 bandaids for $1 each, yay! Also, was wondering-how long do you stockpile your toothpaste for? Do you use yours past expiry?

Hmmm, I keep trying to tell hubby and his mom all this, but they don't get it. Till, of course, we're out of something we use EVERY day...

Like today. Husbear has GERD. We go through Zantac like crazy. So, when I have coupons, I try to get. Except then I get yelled at about it. Until we run out. And, of course, all those nice coupons they didn't let me use EXPIRED. Thankfully, I found a REALLY nice coupon in AllYou, for $5 off. And ShopRite had it for $6.49. I'm just gonna do what I gotta do...

For years I have talked about buying what you need for one year using sales and coupons. The only time I go over that limit is when the food banks put out the call for more food. I step it up to help them. I am so glad to find someone younger who got the picture! Thank you for all your hard work to get this idea out there for others to learn and reap from it.

I need to stockpile Bounty and Sparkle paper towels, Charmin bath tissue, Arm and Hammer detergents and Downy fabric softener. .Those are my normal brands, but I'm not unwilling to try other brands when the price is right! I might have to try Wisk if you can get it for $2!

Thank you for answering that question! The main items I want to stockpile on is laundry detergent, paper towels, and dish washing liquid (the things we always need) but I never know the right time to get it?

I love my stockpile! It's small since it's just me and my husband in a small apt, but I love having a stock of laundry detergent, shampoos and conditioners, bodywash, razors, and toothpaste. Please post more videos about what to buy during which sale cycles!
