My home built motorized grain mill for homebrewing. Thanks to my friends at Brennan and MacKay Appliance in Milford, NH for hooking me up with a dryer motor. I used a 10" sheave on the mill and a 1.5" sheave on the motor to reduce the RPM's from approx. 1725 down to approx 190. It works great! Now I just need to build a bigger hopper, a cover for the motor and a safety guard. Fun project.
@thedavidwilson - on this motor I connected black to position 4, white to position 5, and green to ground.

What is the wiring order to connect this to a 115V cord?

@InTheSticks0001 - it is a Schmidling MaltMill and it has been running like a champ for 15 years. I have not noticed any heat generated at all.

What make is the grinder? How much heat is generated in the grinderand how many hours on it? Country Living Mill specifies 90 RPM as the heat is the problem. Thank you.
