  • @LuckyStarlVl I think you're just going to divide it by -1

    5-|x+3|-3=7

    -lx+3l = 7+3-5

    -lx+3l = 5

    lx+3l = -5

    Then you can start solving:

    x+3=-5 and x+3=5

    :D

  • Could you please do examples like |2x-1l + lx-2l = 5 - lx+1l ? That would be very helpful! :D

  • What if there's a negative sign outside the absolute value, like 5-|x+3|-3=7 D:

  • wouldn't the answer then be no solution because you can't go a negative distance?
