Apple G5 iMac Ant Farm

I came across a dead G5 iMac. I know there are some quick cheap (about $25) transistor fixes if you can solder yourself. However, a technician said that there might be more wrong with this computer and it was quoted as $350+ to diagnose and repair whatever might be wrong with the computer. The computer was scheduled to go to e-waste, but I salvaged it instead.

I've built 3 other Macintanks and knew that I couldn't use this for a tank, so I decided to make it into an ant farm instead.

It was a really simple build. I had some plexiglass left over from a Macintank, and we got a free piece of wood to go in between these two pieces. We ended up buying just some paper clips, and a $10 led light.

The hardest part was catching the ants. We'll try again, or just mail order some.

Dude you spent a lot of time making that you should have researched into the ants. Any ants that you find outside wont make tunnels. For five dollars you could have bought 50 fire ants that are all worker ants, but you did make a sick ant farm.
