It's a pretty good fit. There's plenty of room for the iPod, but the USB connector holds the iPod firmly in there. It also charges the iPod Touch, which is a really nice feature to have when you're listening to music, but one thing we've found out on our own is that it won't charge the iPhone 3G. :\
