Molly malone is a very hard song to sing. It takes a special voice and there are very few ways to sing it. This song must be slow and sad. This man did a wonderful job.

As a kid my Mom used to play this on the piano and she'd sing softly. All of her kids (6) know this by the age of 5. Decades later when I hear it it brings me back.

When I cope to tip a few on 3/17 and get deep into some Irish whiskey I am back to Mom singing this.

I learned this haunting Ballad while growing up in Dublin. It is now considered the Dublin National Anthem. There is a Statue of Molly at the bottom of Grafton Street opposite Trinity College.
