Dude, great job!!! Ive been fishin the aqueduct and delta mendota around the Gustine area for years using two hooks and never caught two fish at the same time!!! Those style gates remind me of a spot between Santa Nella and Hwy 152 on the delta mendota where ive caught a ton of fish. I cast at the same spot you do, but from the end of the fence with flukes on a half ounce jig head and any fish hanging out there would slam my bait. Great vid, keep em coming!

what size weight do you guys use to fish near the gates?
while the water are moving very swiftly?

@RainingRabits if you want cats then go to Discovery Bay by the yacht club and use clams with a drop shot rig around night time.(make sure your not loud and make sure you have a lantern.)
Hey good job on that cat! I've been fishin in the Aqueduct for a while now and not even a bight! I fish for stripers but might try for cats in there, what rig is that?

I have never gone wrong with using night crawlers all around the canal gates. I use a weight on the bottom and 2 hook lines.with small to medium size hooks. it never fails. For big strippers big hooks big slices of anchovies. Tracy, CA area thru Santa Nella and Forebay.

I teach my son to catch, take a picture or movie then release. Make the next person a thrill that there are big fish in there.
