Our Jade came from a cutting in Lightning Ridge, far NW of New South Wales. Home of the world's best red and black opal and the most expensive. The owner of this tourist driven cactus farm, had a long, high wall of this jade in full flower. He told us the secret. As it is a desert plant, it survives on very little water. He told us to sit in a hot sunny corner with overhanging eaves so no rain can get to it. You give the Jade two lots of water in the pot, once in our hot December and once in January. Reverse this for the Northern Hemisphere. The Jade will appear sick and the leaves turn to a very light geen with some tinge of yellow. It seems cruel but that is how it likes it. YOU ARE REWARDED WITH A MAGNIFICENT SHOW OF SMALL DAINTY PINK FLOWERS. ENJOY
