  • @ThePunjabdholi123456 Slight discomfort is always expected when showering with cold water. Much like a cold winter day, the body tightens the pores to absorb as much heat as possible. By taking cold showers, you body burns calories heating itself up. It's best to shower with warm water for a minute (when your pores are open) to clean the dirt on your skin, then switch to the coldest setting for the remainder of the bath. It's also good for your muscles.

  • can it be like cold enough that you feel uncomfortable or does it have to be pure cold?

  • I have been practising Ishnaan for about three months and the deep breath stopped after about the sixth time.

It is a fantastic practise - I feel absolutely great afterwards!

  • very cooool
