Dmitri Shostakovich's Symphony No. 15 in A Major Op. 141, performed by Eugene Ormandy and the Philadelphia Philharmonic. Fairly eclectic piece that notes the themes of Rossini and Wagner, along with those of his own Fourth Symphony.

@BritinIsrael Because Shostakovich and Stalin were kinda mortal enemies...Shostakovich would musically criticize the USSR and the Stalin regime...and Stalin would threaten to kill his family, send him to the Gulag. Stalin is very much the inspiration for a lot of Shostakovich works...until Stalin's death in 1953. Despite Stalin dying long before this was written, the 15th Symphony is biographical of Shostakovich and, being his last, is sort of him bitch slapping the USSR from his death bed.

That is a pity. With such a horrible life, it should be no surprise that so much of Shostakovich's music is the way it is.

New Zealand may be in the common wealth, but it is still an independent nation, we don't have much to do with Britain. as for this "rural" society you speak of, maybe do some research before you say things like that. I never said all Americans were ignorant and stupid, I just said that there are Americans who give all the good Americans a bad name.
