Loved your analysis of Afghanistan. In fact, since the Surge was a FAILURE in Iraq (triple digit casualties in each of April, May, and June 2007) and it was the rehiring of the Iraqi army which worked to reduce casualties, we're now repeating McCain's "logic" that the Surge "worked" in Iraq so let's do it in Afghanistan. Naturally, when our casualties tripled from about 25 a month before June to over 70 in July, August, and September, we're too stupid to figure out WHY.

A contrarian view. I disagree with many of Mr Smith's on air positions. But he put an opposing view on air, and reported that it existed. I think he is wrong in his position..but he does not deny that the other view exists. The worst propagandized media would never have show cased the health care lady in opposition, or would have ridiculed the opposing view with caricatures and insults like Olberman and MSNBC.
