An edited excerpt from the DVD 'In Conversation with Clive Walley'.
The format of the DVD is as the title suggests an informal conversation with Clive accompanied by most of the fine art animation films he has produced over the last 30 years.
Clive talks about his life, from his early days to the present. How and where his interest in the arts and his unique approach to animation originated, explaining his ideas, motives, production values and funding for each project and film. Each topic of conversation is followed by the related film which gives a valuable insight into all aspects of the film's making, particularly so for the MTV program Ident, which illustrates the painting on glass of each frame and the techniques used to achieve Clive's individual style utilising the three dimensional rig that he designed and built (which is now in use at the RCA in London).
The price for the double DVD retails at £30.00 plus VAT and p&p, details can be seen at the Red Wharf website. www.red-wharf.com
