As the sun set and the temperatures dropped, the racing under the lights in the cool desert night of Willow Springs Raceway, in Rosamond California, heated up as the Formula GP class took to the grid. Large grids were present in all classes as riders came out from all over California to put their skills to the test. When the flag dropped in the Formula GP class, Michael Chou would lead the way in a three rider battle for the lead that eventually turned into an elbow bumping two rider battle for 2nd place. The Formula GP class consists of 85cc two strokes and 150cc liquid cooled four strokes in both GP and motard chassis'. These bikes are capable of reaching speeds upwards of 90mph.
