Some people prefer artificial. This video has nothing to do with attempting to replace real plants. Simply an alternative to store bought artificial plants.

Is the glue from a hot glue gun safe to use for DIY aquarium ornaments? I want to make my own, but i'm worried about the glue leaching harmful chemicals into the water.

Here's the Question/ annoyance I was frustrated by.; I did a similar build
using ceramic weights and plastic bamboo leaves I found at the craft store.
What I quickly realized is that the plastic material becomes a substrate or growing surface for rusty brown looking Algae that is not present anywhere else in my tank. I have store bought plastic plants that are resistant to the algal blooms.... Any suggestions?
FYI I already have the lighting intervals in check so thats not contributing at al
