@therrydicule It's difficult for anyone now who was never alive to understand why Villeneuve was so great. But you need to look no further than his opponents. Never has any driver in any form of motorsport gathered the respect and compliments from his rivals as Gilles did.

Everything he did was so on the edge, but he never put another driver in danger, blocked, squeezed or anything like that. Every driver that was ever on the track with him will tell you he was the fastest driver ever in F1.
