Chinese staircase knots are utilized in wrapping loops. (more)

Some people use square knots to wrap, others use this staircase method. You can also wrap the bracelet loop by just making a basic hair wrap around the string.

If you are having issues getting the tip of your string through the loop just add a bit of tacky glue to the tip of the string and let it dry. (The glue will make it a bit more firm and it will act like a needle making it easier to weave in and out of the loop.)

■ MATERIALS:

In the first (large) example I am using a blue shoelace and hot pink masonry rope from Lowe's.

For regular bracelets you will be using Six Stranded Embroidery Floss (DMC Brand is what I use.)

Glue to secure your knots: I use Aleene's Acid Free Tacky Glue (or) Superglue

  • Could you just cut one of your regular strings long and tie it in leaving it will a couple inches so you wouldn't have to tie a string on it would already be there? this would only work if you are cutting them separately but...

  • @lauren88f I guess that would work. So long as you leave a tail about 8 to 10 inches I'd say it would work okay.

  • I thought it was going to be like the wrap because that's what you said in one of your videos but I guess not. It was still great and I love your videos!

  • @727nina It's similar and you can just wrap it around- the wrap is based on tension and going through the loop constantly loosens it. It would work, but this is the easier way.

  • i have a question in this video can i put it from left and make forward knots.

  • @leighla57 I guess you could try that.

  • it is always nice to see videos in how to make the loops look pretty....thank you.

  • @Sooooophiaprec10us You're welcome. I think I remember a small regular hello kitty... so maybe I can manage that. I try not to go over about 20 strings in my video because (with the way I try to keep them all spread out and organized) I run out of room if I use many more than 20. If you'd like to help me find a pattern of hello kitty you can send it to me to review so I can pick the one I feel would be best/comes out best.
