Transcend the question. Consider the possibility that free will and destiny are the same thing. Asking the question "What is my purpose" Implies that you have a master or that someone else or thing told you what to do. There is nothing really wrong with needing a master, but then it may be important to ask yourself, why do I need a master?

@TelecasterLPGTop trust me its not just with the idea of being a musician. I've always wanted to play. music is one of the few things I get enjoyment from. Problem is I don't have a job at the moment so just buying a guitar is out of the question for the time being.

@Metallicaguy91 Choose your instrument, teach yourself or find a teacher. Play every day. Bingo you are a musician ! How good you are depends on your effort and dedication to the instrument. Don't just fall in love with the glamour and hype, if you haven't a PASSION for the instrument (guitar, keyboards etc etc) forget it you're just in love with the idea of being a musician.

Is it crazy that I really do want to become a musician? I am 20 years old with no musical experience at all. But somehow I KNOW it's what I want. When you know you know and I do. But the other problem is where do I start?? It's a question just as difficult as finding what your purpose is. Life is maddening
