  • Why call Smith a jazz legend? Sounds like blues to me.

  • I think the reason I love 20's and 30's blues is because of the low quality, it just adds a great feel to it for me. Just paints a better image. I can imagine myself sat on a rocking chair on a porch in New Orleans on a scorching hot day with this stuff playing in the background. :)

  • Just perfect Classic Blues 1928

  • ol' Bessi Smith. she was a hell of a singer with a lot of talent and heart. love this music and almost all music from this to rap, country, rock, classical, jazz its great

  • This makes "want to come up for a coffee?" even MORE so!

  • Amazing fidelity! You can really hear the piano well, and the trombone!

  • On a Par w/"My Handy Man" by Ethel Waters. Double entendres to boot. Great Transfer! 5***** to you.
