This video shows liquid lithium wetting a porous molybdenum sponge at 450C as part of the Study of Lithium Infusion in Porous media experiment (SLIP). The experiment determined a lithium wetting temperature between 300 and 350C. Once wetting has occured, the lithium adheres to the sponge even when removed from the liquid metal pool until gravity forces the fluid back down.
