Trick with Abus no. 165 padlock

Nice little trick to do on your friends, parents or whoever you may know using an Abus 165 combination padlock making them confused and insane ;D
Works with the 165/40 and 165/30 version but unfortunately not with the 165/20 "travel" version.
May also work on other combination padlocks of similar design.

@Ratko92 Have you tried the number you think you've set it to and then "reversed" it? That is if you think you've set it to 555 then dial that and move all digits by 5 (direction doesn't matter as it's halfway round) so it reads 000 (or 123 to 678 etc.).

@Ratko92 Sorry about that. However if it's the 3 dial version it's relatively quick to brute force. Should be doable within 15 min or so if doing ~1 number/min. In reality I believe it can be done faster. Or do 50 or 100 before going to sleep. Then suddenly you've got it open again.

Of course the 4 dial version can be brute forced too but with 1 number/sek. it'll take 166 minutes (10.000 combinations / 60 sek/min = ~166 min).

i have 165/20 and it has locked in change pasword(backlock)position and i cant take it out.numbers are moving but not working
