Hermle Westminster 4/4 Chime Clock

I got this clock off ebay when I saw it. I wanted a no wind, weight driven pendulum clock with westminster chime and chime shut off feature and this clock has it all. I found many clocks that run on battery; have fake weights for show and pre-recorded chime sounds and battery run movement and pendulum. I didn't want that at all, I love the traditional clocks and this clock, although new, is what I've wanted for some time now. It's cute, pretty good in size and the chimes sound beautiful.

Nice chiming wall clock. I plan to get one of these as well. I never understand why they put obviously fake weights and pendula on quartz battery operated clocks. 90% of the time they look totally kitsch and ugly. I love big mechanical clocks, they're awesome.

Thanks! It's no grandfather clock but I still like it a lot. I agree with you on the fake weights and more so, the fake pendulum on the battery operated clocks. It's all about the mechanical clock, they are awesome!

Wow, looks a lot like my family's Amsterdammer. The only difference is that it has a moonphase and longer rods... So it sounds very deeper. But I prefer this one. =)
