This clip discusses how to apply for the K1 Fiancee Visa provided by USCIS that allows US citizens to petition to bring their foreign fiancees to visit American and within 90 days decide whether to marry the US citizen. Should they marry she can remain as a Permanent Resident and obtain a Green Card. If they decide not to marry, she must return to her country of origin. • i have a picture with my fiancee but its 6yrs old. dont have recent pics because we broke up for a few yrs but now decided to get married i wonder if that pic will work or if i need to go to her country and take recent pics.does anyone know? thank you

  • To be eligible to apply for a Fiancee Visa, you must have met face to face within the past two years. The usual way this is demonstrated is by a copy of your plane ticket, the page from your passport showing your entry to her country, PLUS a photo of the two of you together. If you have traveled to her country prior to the 2 years, then the photo will REQUIRE to have date stamps, in order to prove it was taken recently not 6 years ago. see: Date Stamping on Photos at my website.

  • i am lifetime citizen girl friend of a year has visited multiple times and ready for next step marriage but unfamiliar with all of the forms i would love assistance

  • I help a lot of couples, And I can help you too. Call me personally at 1-800-806-3210 x 702 and we can discuss

    your situation. Fred Wahl, Matchmaker

  • No problem. Plenty of assistance is available.

  • do I need to send a copy of my fiance's birth certificate also?

  • The fiancee's birth certificate must be presented in original or certified copy at the consulate interview. While USCIS does not require her BC, I always include it with the original petition anyway. I believe in this practice as it places ALL relevant documents in front of any reviewers, and thus speeds the process.
