Although Łódź lokks like a interesting, funny place to live it has a lot of bad features. Especially in the city centre there are old, dingy tenement houses where live underclass. Streets are dirty, now, when everything is covered by snow there are not enough plows to clean the city. Birthrate is under zero, average salary is about 2500 zł = 625 Euro, while in Warsaw or Kraków it;s sth about 4500 zł = 1125 Euro. I know what i say, i live here.

my grandparents was from Lodz....so i'm a little polish.

today my elderly british fellow told me that he saw an advert of some polish city with a "impossible to pronounce" name :)

after mentioning one of the longest HighStreet in the world, I have found out that he means Lodz.

I love this city!
