"Taxpayers Right to Vote" - to Diminish voters' rights

Peter Darbee, chairman and CEO of PG&E Corporation, explains how Proposition 16 will diminish the ability of voters to form municipal utilities and community wide clean electricity districts (like Marin County).

This proposition only makes sense for PG&E profits. It practically eliminates competition, which suggests much higher prices for consumers. Mr Darbee certainly didn't dream this up on his own. In fact, his long, rambling explanation credits Nancy McFadden.

My biggest issue is the deception. It's got nothing to do with tax payers and voting rights. This bill should be called: "PG&E's right to keep Ratepayers"

What was Peter Darbee's roll with Enron and the rolling blackouts? Has everyone forgotten the rolling blackouts? Just a reminder, Enron called up all the power companys and told them to do rolling blackouts in order to raise rates and increase profits.
