  • he has beautiful eyes, too...

  • He's about to eat the mic lol :}

    whatta sweetheart <3

  • friendly fires. hip hip hooray

  • I don't know if I would say the single best song writer of this generation, but he certainly is one of the best.

  • @terriblydecent you mean other than Andrew WK right? haha. partypartypartyparty!!!

  • Anyone else feeling a little jealous of Conor's microphone?

  • @jimmychauv I'm not trying to start an argument either. The only thing i'm arguing against is that Conor Oberst is the best songwriter of this generation, and that is mostly because you can't say that anyone is. Like you said, it's subjective.

  • @breakfastroute There is no such thing as originality in rock. Some artists just hide it better than others. The songwriters you mentioned are both influenced by Dylan anyway. I'm not trying to start an argument. I just wanted to discover some new music. Can't really argue something so subjective.

  • @jimmychauv Yay, you spellchecked me, good for you! The thing is that it doesn't matter if I name any better song writers, 'cuz you won't agree with me anyway. But I could mention a few, just for the sake of it I guess. Glen Hansard (The Frames, Swell Season) and Mark Linkous (Sparklehorse) are both better song writers, and that is for the sheer fact that they're actually original, while Conor Oberst only writes a bunch of Bob Dylan rip-offs. But like I said before, he's talanted.

  • @breakfastroute name a better song "wrighter" then.
